Discipline

Ragging has been considered as a criminal offence as per the law . The Management takes special care of the students in this regard and has formed a special committee- Discipline and Anti-Ragging Committee to look after it. The Institute has a panel of faculties, staffs and senior students as the member of Anti-Ragging and Discipline Committee to ensure that no ragging takes place i.e. the committee is formed to prevent any type of ragging and indiscipline in the college campus.

Ragging today has been assumed to be torturous, vulgar and inhuman forms that defy all norms of decency and morality.

The Hon’ble supreme Court of India has given more comprehensive meaning of ragging as under, “Ragging is any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness by any students, including in rowdy or indiscipline activities which cause or are likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear of apprehension there of in a fresher or a junior student and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely effect the psyche of a fresher or a junior student.”
